Scarpa: The Very Best Men's & Women's Climbing Shoes, Hiking Boots, and Running Shoes

One of the oldest and most respected names in outdoor adventure shoes, Scarpa began from an unlikely source: beer. Most people are surprised to learn that in 1938 Rupert Guinness, owner of Guinness brewery, founded Scarpa shoes in Asolo, Italy where he owned land. Guinness recognized the movement in this mountain region where a growing number of world-renowned shoemakers had gathered; this same movement also created the brand La Sportiva. Guinness hired all the best shoe craftsmen he could find, offering them tremendous opportunity and tasking them with creating the greatest shoes in the world.

Born in the mountains, Scarpa has since evolved into one of the finest makers of shoes and boots for hiking, climbing, mountaineering, and more.  Scarpa boots and hiking shoes, like the Men's Wrangell Gtx, are top of the line. They are built with exceptional and innovative materials designed to get you to the top in comfort. Likewise, Scarpa climbing shoes, such as the Womens Vapor V, are industry renowned for their precision, durability and comfort. If you're looking to experience the outdoors, whether scaling mountains and cliffs or trekking through the woods, Scarpa has some of the most practical and well-made shoes anywhere.

We highly recommended Scarpa boots, climbing shoes, and hiking shoes to any outdoor adventure-lovers who are looking to experience top of the line quality. Scarpa is constantly innovating and raising the bar for its shoes and boots, and it is one of the favorite choices of the most experienced and dedicated explorers out there.

We are SCARPA

Our vision is to the future, to the unclimbed peaks and the unopened routes.

What we do every day is to try and retrace the path of what has made SCARPA the outstanding brand it is today.

Because no place is too far.

 Questions & Tips

Q: Can I purchase SCARPA replacement laces or other accessories?

Scarpa offer several different laces and lengths to choose from that are made by the original manufacturer. Reach out to us and we can help you order them.

Q: How do I clean my Scarpa boots?

Your SCARPA boots are good to go straight from the box however, despite developments in technology, all of the footwear in Scarpa's range requires regular aftercare to maintain the highest level of performance and durability.

We recommend that you follow these guidelines to get the most out of your boots.

  • After each use rinse off mud and dirt with clean water. Remove any stubborn dirt with a sponge, damp cloth or brush. If your boots are particularly dirty you can use a cleaning product such as Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel.
  • Dry your boots naturally over time in a cool, dry place with good air circulation (Never force dry your boots using heat, as this will damage the leather uppers)
  • Regularly treat them with a suitable waterproofing treatment applicable to the type of boots you have (See below). We would recommend re-proofing the boots whenever they get particularly dirty or when water stops beading (turning to droplets) on the surface of the boots.
  • Take care to apply treatments to tongues, D. rings and hooks. Do not over treat them as this can soften the leather and damage stitching.
  • Never apply standard boot polish to leather, it will not nourish the leather it will only treat the appearance of the boot
  • HS12 cream should be applied to clean dry leather
  • Water based treatments such as Nikwax should be applied to clean boots whilst the upper materials are still wet

Scarpa Sizing Chart & Sizing Information

If you are unsure which shoe size to purchase, please follow the following steps:

Draw a straight line, longer than your foot, on a piece of paper.

Place the paper on a flat surface. Stand on the line with your heel and longest toe centered on the line. If measuring a child's foot, it may be easier to hold the paper up to their foot.

Place a mark on the line at the tip of the longest toe and at the back of the heel.

Repeat steps 1-3 for the other foot.

Measure the distance between the marks. Taking the larger of the two measurements, use the conversion chart to find your correct shoe size.
